The River Falls Creates Exhibit Selection Committee is seeking artists or teams of artists for two projects: a railroad abutment project and an installment at the police department. Visit the Call for Artists page for more details.

Two new classes have been added to the Art’s House schedule. Rita Zawislak-Brandt will teach you how to create a woodsy flower with a pheasant feather on April 30, and Renee Reinardy will help you create an alcohol ink tile coaster. Visit the Classes page for more info.

Three new classes are available for registration. A series of four watercolor classes begin on March 5, a mandala rock art painting class is scheduled for April 2, and a mosaic garden art class will be held on April 16.

In addition, Maker’s Tables are scheduled for 2/27 and 3/26 from 4–6 p.m. and 4/23 and 5/28 from 6–8 p.m.

This two-class series is geared toward beginners. Our first project will be to create a small sampler with 10 common embroidery stitches. Time permitting, we will begin work on a second project of your choice. Come and discover the enjoyment, creativity, and relaxation this ancient art form has to offer.

The River Falls Public Library wants to create fabric bags for the booth at Earthfest which is On April 20. Library staff person Alice Olson is in charge of this project. You can help in many ways.

Art’s House will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. for River Dazzle / Chili Crawl (Friday, November 24) and Small Business Saturday (November 25).

There will be live music from Anders Villwock on Friday, November 24 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Art’s house is offering three holiday gift-making classes in November and December, one each on making a decoupage coaster, circular woven ornament, and wire-wrapped ring.

Congratulations to Anthony Jagg, recipient of the 2023 Steve Preisler Memorial Scholarship. Anthony is a graduating senior at River Falls High School, and he will attend UW River Falls in the fall as a graphic design major.

Art’s House Gallery is inviting artists to our annual Holiday Gift Boutique! We’re looking for a variety of unique, hand-crafted media from painting, photography and printmaking to ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, glass and fiber arts.

This is a beginning to intermediate watercolor class intended to introduce students to the medium while also presenting advanced techniques.

Classes will be held on Thursdays, October 19, 26, November 2, and 9 from 6–8 p.m.
