Art’s House will have extended hours during the 2023 holiday season. From now through Saturday, December 23, hours of operation will be:

Saturday 10–5
Sunday 11–3

Art’s House will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. for River Dazzle / Chili Crawl (Friday, November 24) and Small Business Saturday (November 25).

There will be live music from Anders Villwock on Friday, November 24 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Let’s kick off 2024 with a fresh approach to art! Art’s House Gallery and Gift Boutique is reimagining trash. Do you have an idea that brings new life to waste in unexpected, perhaps beautiful, ways? Do you find inspiration in cast-off materials, calling attention to more sustainable practice? Do you have items cluttering your studio, waiting for you to give them a new purpose? We want to hear from you!

Art’s house is offering three holiday gift-making classes in November and December, one each on making a decoupage coaster, circular woven ornament, and wire-wrapped ring.

Congratulations to Anthony Jagg, recipient of the 2023 Steve Preisler Memorial Scholarship. Anthony is a graduating senior at River Falls High School, and he will attend UW River Falls in the fall as a graphic design major.

Art’s House Gallery is inviting artists to our annual Holiday Gift Boutique! We’re looking for a variety of unique, hand-crafted media from painting, photography and printmaking to ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, glass and fiber arts.

This is a beginning to intermediate watercolor class intended to introduce students to the medium while also presenting advanced techniques.

Classes will be held on Thursdays, October 19, 26, November 2, and 9 from 6–8 p.m.

Art’s House will be closed from August 27-September 6, reopening on Thursday, September 7.

The August 3 Music in the Park show with Pickled Beats will be from 6-8pm, an hour earlier than originally scheduled.

CAB is proud to sponsor trumpeter Ava Redmond, a member of the 2023 Kids From Wisconsin cast. They’ll be performing Friday, July 28, at the Melvin Wall Amphitheater at UWRF from 7-9pm. The performance is free.

As part of River Falls Days, Marg Downing will lead a walking arts tour at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. beginning at City Hall Plaza, 215 W. Maple St.

The two Music in the Park concerts scheduled for City Hall Plaza (Joyann Parker on July 27 and Charlie Parr on August 24) will now be held at The Garage Bikes + Brews, at 109 W Cedar St., a couple of blocks away from City Hall. All other Music in the Park concerts will be at our usual Veterans Park location.

This weaving series is designed to introduce or strengthen basic weaving skills. Participants will learn to use everyday materials so they can keep weaving without specialized equipment even after our time together is through! Materials are provided.

The City of River Falls, WI is accepting proposals from artists or teams of artists who would like to be considered for a free-standing exterior installation located at the City’s historic Glen Park, 355 West Park Street. The artist(s) will design, fabricate, and install the artwork within Glen Park.

Applications are open through June 20 for Rural Regenerative Fellowships. The fellowship offers a comprehensive two-year program that connects rural artists, makers, culture bearers and organizers across the Midwest, sharing opportunities for peer learning and exchange.
