Music in The Park is proud present Houseboats trio for the 2024 season. Houseboats is singer/songwriter Matthew Mitchell, based out of River Falls, WI. While often sonically somewhere between The Cure, Bon Iver, and Bruce Springsteen, houseboats draws the biggest influence from the intimate songwriting and understated, stripped-down style of artists like Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake. Melodic, thoughtful, and relatable original songs from a working class writer—written for anyone kind enough to listen.
