Explore the wonders of watercolor and learn the fundamental techniques of this exciting medium.
This is a beginning-to-intermediate watercolor class intended to introduce students to the medium and to introduce advanced techniques. Basic class lessons and demonstrations will help you feel comfortable as you create a painting. The instructor will describe in detail the basic materials used and the three stages that make up a watercolor painting.
You will also learn brush techniques, mixing colors, value studies, and discuss initial drawing techniques. Essential watercolor supplies will be provided to use during the class.
The workshop will consist of three two-hour classes. Days and hours are Tuesday, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at River Falls Community Arts Base Art’s House Gallery, 127 N. Main, River Falls, WI.
Classes start on Tuesday, September 20 and run for three consecutive weeks (September 20, 27, and October 4). The cost for entire series of three classes is $85 for CAB members and $95 for nonmembers.
