My name is Daniel Nelson. I began painting in 2016 and have completed around two hundred paintings over the last four years. I primarily use oils as my medium of choice but I have recently began branching out into acrylics. Land and seascapes are the primary subjects of my paintings, featuring scenes from all four seasons, and capturing the unknown beauty of the upper Midwest. All scenes are done freehand with no sketches placed on the canvas prior to painting. In addition to traditional canvases, I also paint different scenes on wooden planks.
