As an artist, my inspiration is drawn from the natural world around me.
Although I seek out representational subjects, I am drawn increasingly to a more abstract, emotional interpretation. I paint intuitively, and as the dance between representation and abstraction unfolds, I guide the play between the two. I hope the viewer is brought into my paintings by enjoying the juxtaposition of line, form and color.
As a teaching artist, I have held painting classes at Hastings Art Center, White Bear Center for the Arts, The Phipps Center for the Arts, as well as in my home studio. Inquiries about my work may be directed to my email address.
