I have been exploring my love of wood for 40+ years. A self-taught turner, creating pieces from solid wood. Most of my pieces are turned green or wet so when they dry, they take on a subtle warped or oblong shape which adds to the beauty of each piece. Turning from mostly native wood using solid pieces which are made to be used and are food safe.

My most recent addition to my studio is working with colored pencils and resin, creating bowls, pepper grinders, goblets and the most intriguing of all are Lazy Susans. Once I understood and conquered some of the challenges of working with resins I continue to be intrigued by the possibilities of adding many different items into the resin and discovering the results as I turn each piece whether it is buckthorn pieces, pine cones or popsicle stick.

There is great joy in creating a piece that will be used and then handed down for generations to come.
